This page consists of personal writing that I was able to create based off of different mentor texts of either quotes or books that I read by David Levithan.
ME
If when thinking of me you define me by associating me with someone else, that is proof you know less about me than you think you do.
You and I
You and I are not we
We are simply you and I
Separated by the walls we have built for each other
Suppressed is we
Rearranging it to you and me
Because there is no you without me
But there is you without I
And you weren't there when it was just me
So let me be alone, let me be I, let me be me, please let me be
So I can be reminded of what it felt like when there was no you -- just me.
Adoration
I love to watch people I adore sleep. There's something about their body at rest that reminds me of my inner peace they've help create.
One Must Show
We love within boundaries that hinder our spontaneity when we constantly define what we mean to one another.
Infertile
I am no longer able to bare
The aches and pains
Of a love I would love to demonstrate
To a child
Who should be mine
But that from the love I am giving
I can not create
Infertile you and I
Because no matter how many times our bodies collided
At night comes the aches and pains of a love I can not create
Because the child is us
and drawn to each other is we
Because no matter how many times I gave my love to you
The love and memories can not be reproduced
And I am left with the desire to create...
