Biography

David Levithan born on September 7th, 1972 is an American writer who writes teen novels. He has been recognized as an award winning author because of his outstanding abilities to connect to his readers. The first book that David Levithan was called Boy Meets Boys, which was published in the year 2003. This book, like many others of David Levithan, has a story that revolves around gay characters that also deals with identity as well. David Levithan is a book editor and has collaborated on books with multiple artist such as John Greene and Rachel Cohen. 

 

For a funny and much more stylistic approach, David Levithan has decided to collaborate with other authors to enhance his writing skills as well as putting a kick to his writing while still remaining authentic and original. Usually, David Levithan is usually commended for his writing and his publishing of novels, whereas his editing lurks in his shadows to many. In fact, David Levithan states,  "I love editing just as much, if not more than writing". While this makes David Levithan a much more versatile writer in the writing industry, it is more than just that. Being an editor has made David Levithan a much more fluid writer who condones different methods of expression. 

 

Some of the main themes that David Levithan talks about range from politics, gay characters, love, identity, and etc. For readers who enjoy a great romantic novel, David Levithan is the guy to read!
